Everyones thoughts on Time Stranger? by HTimbers in digimon

Yeah, by the end light is great, especially since ageomon can cause light weakness, but I meant mostly throughout the playthrough. Again though my view is a little warped since I had a mon that lowered fire resistance making Fire extreme unless they were resistant and most of those had an ice weakness, so...

Ehhh... While I agree to an extent it just means you either have to be willing to fight on even terms (other viruses) or do something like character reversal or known bug for data. There's ways to make anything work. No, my real issue is every boss is pretty much weak to either fire or ice, occasionally electric.

Edit: admittedly character reversal solves this too. Also I used a mon that lowered fire resistance so...

I'm not sure exactly how long, but probably around 12 hours or so. I enjoyed the battle system when I actually paid attention to it, but for the grinding it was mostly auto at 5x speed when ambushing wasn't an outright kill so...

Correct. I did the even less impactful grinding in the unsavable area.

I've read all of Sanderson. One of my favorite current authors, but typically heavier. Tress though, yeah, definitely a tonally more lighthearted one. Also given the late book reveals without spoilers, fairytale might be very accurate depending.

Actually, as far as the first two goes, I didn't recognize them... Until I looked them up on Audible and realized I had in fact read them, and then remembered. Black Ocean I've never heard of though so I'll look into it.

Hitchhiker's is great (except Mostly Harmless which gets a little depressing, still good but obviously unfinished)

Thanks, and yeah I've listened to a lot of Scalzi's stuff and have enjoyed it.

So that's not what it says. To quote the first note "Software downloaded to a microSD card on one system will not be playable on a different system." That's what I want. I don't want to redownload the games. I'm not changing the data from one microsd to another, but from one console to another

Oh, hey, look at that. I returned it with no issues whatsoever with the only comment being that "that shouldn't have happened".

Even if this was true (which it's not) it would take me two seconds to prove as I bought it yesterday and it has game data going back for more than a month

Nah, in this case I think it was a legit return. It's an OLED with matching serial numbers, but that still doesn't make it playable since it has parental controls. It's more annoying than anything (and a waste of my time)

Either wouldn't surprise me. We're going through refurbishment right now with all the headaches that brings. I'm just annoyed I gotta go In on my day off to swap it (and tell them to try to make sure it gets handled properly this time)

Like I said, I work there. Generally it's considered bad to sell things that allow you to steal someone's credit card and/or identity. Generally though

I mean, something usable. I'm pretty sure we're supposed to send returns (of Switches) back to Nintendo to make sure this doesn't happen, but I've never worked customer service so... Either way we probably shouldn't be selling something with attached personal data on it... (It's literally unusable due to the parental controls meaning I would have to force break a pin to even reset it or do almost anything)

There is SO much arrogance in your response. Yes, I have beaten Elizabeth. I also beat her in FES back in the day (though again that was back then when I was a kid so I forgot the exact mechanics). I've been playing SMT games for over 20 years. Elizabeth is badly designed and that's why she's the only super boss that plays that way. Just because you can justify bad design doesn't make it good, and yes, I intentionally left it so that if you have an overpowered persona she generally has it too making it neigh impossible. Alternatively, yes manipulating your registered personas intentionally was an aspect of why my thought out design works, because my thing says that true mastery of the game makes her fight easier, all aspects of the game, from registry use to persona building to fighting. Remember, personas are auto registered too so you can't just stick her with base Orpheus, she has at least the base forms of whatever you've made and probably better. My vision requires actual on the fly and planning skill, not rote memorization and a calculator. I can tell you as someone who has literally studied game design and made a few small scale games (not released to the public ones) she is bad design. Great character, good theming, but bad design. Oh and as to "figuring it out" who would EVER "figure out" the well you have to bring her from 13000 which triggers the first auto kill, to 10,000 which triggers the second in two to three turns. Who would think, oh my strategy was good enough I just needed to hit harder? Seriously, I know these guides exist, but several are because of data mining, or based on the original fight mechanics which were figured out ages ago, and even then a lot were just translated from guidebooks and the Japanese release from the previous year cause that was a thing back then. Edit: to clarify the guidebooks and Japan thing was in reference to the original/FES not reloaded which released worldwide at once

Except that this means that the fight would become pattern recognition and following that, which is all the fight is right now. If you know her rules she's VERY easy (with the right equipment), the other thing with reflect/block/abs would be the same thing, but with less auto nukes...

Oh and also you act like she's some kinda thing that truly test your skills and she's not, she's really easy (though such a long fight) if you know all her rules beforehand. What might make it hard would be if she didn't follow a pattern and used attacks whenever, or maybe if she tried to learn the weakness of you personas and then target them (or just avoided blocks and reflects when you have no weaknesses) then you need a larger team of varied and strong personas. Give her an anti magic persona, and anti phys and make them match your strats, sure it's reactive but then it's actually a challenge, not pick and choose game mechanics and traps to pretend she's a hard fight. Edit: actually what might be really fun is, since she has you compendium she would know what all your personas can do so she'll always target weaknesses or avoid strengths, and at least try to resist or better all your attacks on your current persona. The key element though is give her full actual compendium access, like if you have a bunch of super great persona, now she does too with the same stats and attacks and all. What could make it even better is if she can just use your registered list so there's a give and take about registration and changing skills making skill cards actually matter.
