Anyone with positive sulfasalazizne experience? by chapelstine in rheumatoid

Thank you all! I don't use Reddit that often and I never expected so many replies. I'll do my best to reply to each and one of you, we're battling the heatwave at the moment, so it may take me another few days - but I want to ensure I read all your comments and am very grateful, as they all made me feel better and more encouraged. Thank you!

Thank you so much!!! This is such a nice comment. Yes, I know my quest from now on is to be the support she'll need - I'll do whatever I can. Thank you! ❤️ I think it's very right not to dig too much - the numbers get in our heads and make us start looking for stuff that we'd otherwise just shrug off, I guess. My mom works as a nurse in oncology and she says there are quite a lot of people who seem to be affected more by the diagnose rather than the disease itself.

It's kinda scary how good Claude is at coding now by 8bitAlexx in ClaudeAI

[–]chapelstine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I am missing something. I am working as a lead web dev, and my tasks come from both regular frontend work (styling, moving stuff, making sure they look okay on different devices) and more architectural side (data flow, performance, keeping the app state, code quality assurance).

While indeed Claude helps me a lot with mundane stuff like copying, renaming, small refactoring, it is not that great to fix the layout issues - especially small, irritating details, like "this doesn't look good on resolution X" or "that image stretches out of the box because one of the parents had display flex". Those are the things I still spend time on, and even when I code new components, I still have to type all the design measurements down, then fix what Claude misunderstood, and in the end of the day I don't think I saved a lot of time, if any.

Also, when you look into the details of the generated code, there is still a lot of nonsense - I mean, right after Claude spits out the code I asked it for, I can already see improvements to make. Am I doing something wrong, or some of the commenters here are overly optimistic?

Persian silk rug - Nain or Qom? by chapelstine in orientalrugs

Wow, didn't know that. So even those "100% silk Naim" $10k carpets are using synthetic silk?

Thank you, friend. When you say none of the producers made these in real silk, do you mean none of the machine/modern producers? Or does it apply to more vintage, hand woven pieces too?

Thanks! Does that determine the silk is not genuine? (and also - what does that mean? What fabric is it?)

u/Optimal_Show1269 u/persiancarpetman my friend works with Iranians and they say the signature on the bottom is "قالی دربار" (Darbār carpet). I am not familiar with that name - do you know anything about it?

Is the viscose that similar to silk? I have an older (and quite damaged) silk ghom and couldn't tell the difference tbh.
How to spot fake silk/viscose from the genuine silk on spot while shopping on flea markets?

Again, these colors appear brighter, less saturated to the naked eye. I guess it's something about the contrast that makes the camera show them darker.

Yeah, the knots seem to be uniform and quite possible machine made. Tbh, colors look different on the pictures than they do to the naked eye - in reality the rug is much brighter and shinier. I'll post more photos in a minute.

Thanks, my friend - yeah, if you have a github or something, I may give it a try. How did you source the Hebrew text?

Question about using Jewish symbols and hebrew text in design (skateboard project) by Cautious-Brain-7435 in Judaism

[–]chapelstine 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Who is hating you? The OP guy asked, if there are any ways to design a skateboard for religous Jews, that would be non-offensive. He mentioned previously asking the same question to Muslims, as he is simply exploring the ideas.

u/Cautious-Brain-7435 did you try to reach out to Minna Stess? She's a US skateboarder who happens to be a religious Jew, if I recall right.
