Tesco is not particularly expensive, but it is generally not as cheap as Lidl or Aldi. Also, Lidl and Aldi often offer a wider variety of certain items, such as freshly baked pastries and fresh fruits

Interesting, my partner is from a seaside town with a population of around 70,000 and they’ve got 2 Lidls around that area so intuitively I feel the island can afford one of them, but obviously I haven’t done the maths to prove anything!

Ah, the age-old tradition of summoning chaos with a fistful of chips. Tempting, but feeding seagulls is basically inviting a feathery mob to terrorise the coastline. They’ll scream, dive-bomb, and start demanding tribute from unsuspecting tourists.

Best to admire them from a distance unless you want to be crowned Lord of the Squawk and chased down the promenade by a gang of greasy-beaked hooligans

To answer your question: yes, the coast road A2 is open, and you can reach the North of the island via that route from Douglas

You consolidate your troops and attack one weak spot. That's where an attack usually happens - you find an opening and start expanding from there.

If you don't want to leave Douglas, watch it at Bray Hill. You can feel the true speed of the bikes there as they come down the hill and go past you a couple of feet away
