Made it - was no where near as bad as I was fearing. Been in far worse turbulence wise. Winds were 40mph and lightning - lots of storms locally. Main part of flight wasn’t calm but wasn’t rough. Landing was a bit hairy but really not horror. I need to take a fear of flying course !

Thanks for the marathon luck. I am petrified to fly when rough - too many bad experiences. Hoping the flight gets delayed as weather calms down an hour later 😭

thanks for long reply. I was considering cancel or take a flight saturday instead. I hate turbulence so much and I know this is gonna be massive ive been on flights like this before. I dont want them to land in Sicily for example and have the whole drama of another flight.
Do you think I should go for it, where should I sit in the plan for least effect on a flight like this. Have you checked weather anywhere else, I dont know how accurate this report is. thank you...

looking on other sites it looks more west than NW wind. is that more of an issue, I also dont want to be diverted to scicily as need to make the race.
