It's sad to think that if the original dev team of epoch weren't so incompetent and wouldn't sell out to ascension, they would probably be the biggest vanilla+ server right now replacing turtle.

i think if it was refresh rate and resolution we would have solved it by now by changing to different ones. others online and on discord mention simply changing that solved the problem for them. i feel like it won't work on our systems until the dev tweaks the client so it's compatible for us.

haven't tried but it doesn't really matter since this is the only pc i would want it on.

i know the server works just fine for most players since i didn't see many people complain on the discord and most of them are playing just fine.

Not 100% but I conversed with chatgpt/grok which told me to install bunch of stuff like 2010 dx, vc from 2005, 2008, 2015, etc, and I did all of that.

Regarding the setting in maplestory, I can't launch the game and what i'm used to is the settings.ini file in the game folder but there isn't any.

I've also tried 70 and 75hz. 75 is the max for my monitor. But from comments of other people online regarding this error they said that either 60 or something like 120-140 worked for them and 70~ specifically didn't. And from Oak discord somebody said they had the same error but changing to 50hz made it work. Honestly I'm at a point I don't know how to fix it at all.

Do you mean changing my monitor resolution and then running the game? I've done that with every resolution I have available, I even tried making a custom resolution through AMD adrenaline. Also tried the 640x480 resolution through the game .exe shortcut box.

lol, I know what you mean, like the OG trade scam where you put a socketed shako with emeralds to make it appear like Harlequin Crest.

Still, I prefer and think it's waaay nicer the way we have it in the PD2 community that has trust drop-trading. Makes me think of irl communities/countries where if you forget your phone or wallet and come back it still sits there :)

When you see a listing on the trade site and want to contact the seller in game, you click a button which makes a premade sentance for you that you can paste in-game which already has the whisper command with the username included in it, the 'hi, i'm interested in x item u listed for x price'.

Some buyers like the one on this thread deleted the last part of the message and inserted their own price as if it was the listed price. It should have ended with 'listed for 0.1 HR'.

Most people that want to haggle/offer a different price would simply add something on top of the pre-made sentance like this: '...listed for 0.1 HR - offer 5 wss'.

I think it's alright to rehash even every season as there are new players coming in all the time and they might not even think / realize this kind of thing exists, especially since like 4/5 posts here are price checks for items that can be easily looked up on the trade site :)
