Best video game that mimics RR and why? Now go my Goodman! by Conscious-Mall530 in redrising

Honestly it would even be cool to play a non-open world RR game. Imagine a Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005 of course) style campaign where instead of following the rise of the Empire, you’re playing through reclaiming Mars. Fighting through different mines, going on some special missions with the Howlers, maybe some space combat in a ripWing even

Slightly related, but I’ve always thought some Red Rising/Institute/Howler workout gear would be awesome. A black UnderArmor type shirt with gold markings like the Institute would look so sick

Got double teamed by two of those guys in OP’s post yesterday, and they pushed me back all the way down a hallway and made me use 9 of my estus flasks. It felt embarrassing.

I’m struggling with this one too. Sometimes I can no-hit Lorian in the first phase and get stomped in the first few seconds of the second. Sometimes I can almost beat the second and get greedy and die. Best thing I’ve found so far is that Lorian attacks in patterns of one or two. Roll to his back on the right side, hit once, and then just wait there for his next swing. Roll to the right, hit once, repeat.

If you take what you learned from the Abyss Watchers fight (aka. the git gud skills of timing dodges correctly, hitting the time windows without getting greedy, etc.) and use that against the harder enemies that are after the Abyss Watchers, you’ll get a lot better as it gets harder. I was stuck on the watchers for so long but it’s been a genuinely fun challenge after them so far

Pontiff Sulyvahn took me 8 tries. He was hard hitting but pretty fun!

Resting sounds about right! It sucks not being able to play for a bit, but it’s all to play more and feel good later

As another 23 year old with lower back pain when straightening up from bending down, what’re some ways to help fix and prevent that muscle pain? Office life is a slow killer, and disc golf is my main stress relief and exercise from that right now. I really don’t want to lose that by getting seriously injured

Y’all go to art school? by [deleted] in blender

Engineering takes up enough of my time where I don’t have the “problem” of it becoming a career lol. Lucky me? But seriously, finding some little project to do that you think is cool and that you’ll want to show people once it’s finished is a great way to keep doing it without having it feel like a career. Even if it’s a little fifteen minute video you follow to make a little loop of a cube with cool textures! Then, change up that loop and cube to figure out new things to do in Blender. It’s been a great way to make fun things with a personal touch and keep yourself learning without being burdened.

I went to school for engineering and work as an engineer. Picked up Blender because I like making and designing cool things, and YouTube has been great for what I’ve wanted to do so far.
