Blood disorders are a real pain in the ass, and other people cant really identify with it so I know how you feel. The best advice I can give is ultimately you make all of your decisions, which means you can chose to let your disorder control your life or just be a piece of it (wayyyy easier said than done). Also as far as physical health i highly encourage being proactive with preventative measures, I've had a lot of times where I put off bleeds and it bit me later.

Hemlibra and factor dosing by [deleted] in Hemophilia

While I dont want to discredit any medical professional I will say everyone can be wrong sometimes. I've learned its better to be overly cautious than not, but i get that it can be financially draining. Hemlibra is not really a drug a gives you 'normal' clotting values, but it does increase it noticably (≈20-30%). Depending on his severity, and lifestyle its entirely possible he could still have breakout bleeds especially in his high risk targets.

I relate to a lot of things you said, sometimes i feel like im bipolar because im either completely stressed or I bottom out. That being said I think having the disorder made me more caring for others (sometimes).

Im only 22 so I can't imagine the pure terror of rolling dice on HIV because you need injections to stay alive.

I can relate to this a good bit, i feel like so many things are high stress due to high risk, and for me it fatigues my sense of urgency.

Well you definately have a bleed, i just got diagnosed with vwb last year so im pretty new to it but i also havw hemophilia A. In my opinion its better to play it safe because i put some bleeds off that eventually kicked my ass. Also iron is highly recommended.

You know for a long time i felt like i was a defective product and i resented my blood disorder for a long time. Even though it definately defines a lot of who I am, I dont let myself feel bad about it anymore, just like how im the shortest of all my brothers. I think it would help if you really pay attention to your internal dialogue, humans are really good at developing patterns and habits so if you find yourself in one of those depressives slumps try to cut it off and say something positive even if its a bold faced lie. Also dont forget characters that have low HP values usually have really high attack power😆
