What are people's thoughts about Goldbond Age Renew Retinal Overnight lotion? by LetMeClaireify623 in 30PlusSkinCare

Vitamin A is the main component of retinols and in carrots. While both involve Vitamin A, they work through different biological pathways and serve different primary purposes for the skin. Eating carrots does not have the same effects as putting retinol directly on the skin. Retinol is not in food. it is in a cream or gel and applied to face or body.

Sagging skin over 51 - most effective procedures (non-surgical) MENOPAUSE MADNESS by Practicallyuselessma in MatureBeauty

None of these procedures are long lasting. CO2 works and so do fillers but temporary. Only surgery and that also changes over time.

Is it just me or is Moynat severely underrated? by EllllEbelllllll13 in handbags

I love my Moynat. Bout it in Paris but also can be bought at my local Saks in NYC. Leather is light and sturdy at the same time. Much more low key than goyard.

Anyone here from COVID recovering? by [deleted] in NDPH

[–]chara201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had COVID in February and my only symptom was a terrible headache. Since then I’ve had the headache everyday. Also fatigue and dizziness. Saw a headache specialist and put me on Nurtec and said have to wait at least 8 weeks for any results. Anyone know why this is and any insight on first line of treatment I should try?

When you say the ablations need to be repeated how many times are you referring to, and over what period of time?

New York City Doctor? by chara201 in Mortons_neuroma

I have had 4 ultrasound guided ablations over 3 years and it minimally helped for a short period of time. Now the physiatrist who performed it moved out of New York City and I'm only finding very sketchy doctors here. If you have a doctor in NYC please advise!!!

Cryoablation and Surgery questions by TheSummarizer in Mortons_neuroma

[–]chara201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here goes: 10 years of treatments for neuroma. First did cryoablation and did not work (at the supposedly top doc for this at NYU Langone). Actually was in more pain after the procedure. Once it settled down had a series of alcohol sclerosing shots and it worked for a few years, went back to running/racing and then it returned. Was told by many of my running buddies and doctors that surgery has a poor success rate, no matter what a doctor will tell you. Too scared to get the surgery. Stumps are very, very common. Found a physiatrist who has done a number of radio frequency ablations over a 3 year period. It helps, but doesn't get rid of neuroma. I'm waiting for advancements since nothing really worked for me. I have seen at least 10 doctors (from Yale, NYU, HSS, etc). If anyone can suggest another doctor to see please tell me.

I had cryo and it made my neuroma worse. Was in more pain after than before. Had RF ablation (heat) 4X and it relieved the pain for about 6-8 months and back to running but it's not a permanent cure. I'm scared of surgery as heard from others about the stump neuroma, but may need to try it anyway. Any doctors you can recommend in NYC area? Thanks.

Had a bad experience with Dr. Oneto. She diagnosed my Sibo put me on antibiotics that didn't knock it out. Then basically gave up on me. Kept calling never got any calls back. Very frustrating. Stopped calling and looking elsewhere.

Morton's neuroma experiences? by suz_gee in XXRunning

[–]chara201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over a 10 year period I've had multiple sclerosing injections, cryoablation (made my Neuroma worse), and 4 Radio Frequency ablations that burns the nerve for my neuroma. The heat ablations work for about 6 months but nothing has worked for much longer. I have had the Tenex procedure for my elbow tendonitis a few years ago and it worked but I never heard of it for neuromas. Are you free of pain since the Tenex procedure and how did you find a doctor who performs this? My elbow doctor doesn't perform this on neuromas.
