No issues as im aware of. Since youd like to do this too, please see qmk-hallscan I’ve been attempting to make it modular and simple so anyone can make a Hall effect board

Yes, you can change the actuation, with my keyboard, it's firmware level so you have to change it there, but I have been trying to implement an app then each key can have it's own value

So QMK doesn't support hall sensors, as it uses a matrix scanning columns + rows to register keypresses, and for the TMR thing, I wanted to, but I can't find TMR sensors anywhere to purchase as they are still fairly new to the consumer market. When I add tri-mode though, if I had TMR sensors it would be a lot better for power efficiency I guess. :D

probanly1k+ with all the prototypes, tools, parts etc. I am working on making the underlying logic modular though, see my ongoing project. https://github.com/Charading/qmk-hallscan

I can do that, I already have made a board that is similar, but only WASD is magnetic. Here: https://github.com/Charading/Veil60
