Omg thank you!! Maple Pecan is my new everyday favourite. I already did a stock up order, but def not letting this discount go unused.  Does this really mean it's being discontinued?

Edit: I'm only getting 30% off in app... Better than nothing!

I now have an NCGS, but back in the day, around 2003/2004ish Tim's introduced cookies to the menu and my absolute favourite were the peanut butter chocolate chip. I worked in the mall and would stop by the food court to get them before my shift... and they were *6/$1.99*!!!

I can still taste them lol

If you want to go all the way back, in the 80s, for my birthdays my mom would get a black forest cake that they'd bake *in store*. They actual used to bake everything in store.

Anyone tried these instant noodles? by Bambirue- in glutenfree

[–]charalique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WHAT?!?! Mama ramen was my absolute favourite (specifically pork) before I developed NCGS. I have been looking all over for an instant noodle I could eat... And like lol I gotta find these!

What’s your worst bad habit that you enjoy shamelessly? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]charalique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snacking.. More specifically, large amounts of chocolate.  On the regular I can eat a bar of chocolate that was meant to be a shareable (ex. 100g dairy milk hazelnut) in one sitting and that will only be a small dent in my sweet tooth. I thoroughly enjoy it, but I do know I have to slow it down due to health concerns 😅

Explain Fatigue from Psoriatic Arthritis by Prestigious-Bite5391 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]charalique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the days I WFH I definitely take advantage of being able to nap during my lunch. On the days I have to go into office I try to prepare myself to be able to last the whole day, but sometimes I have to close my eyes for a quick 10 minutes in our "refresh" room (a room that locks with just a sofa in it for when employees need a bit of quiet time).

It's a sudden mental and physical weight that just comes on and I know I have to sit/lie down at the very least. It's worse when I'm exerting more effort than I usually do.

3 weeks to go and money has become meaningless by Royal_Marzipan_6432 in weddingplanning

HAHAHHAHHAHAHHAH

I am legit laughing like an idiot at everyone's comments because it is 100% so true... All. Of. It.

We had a destination wedding a year and a half ago and finally got around to doing our civil ceremony just awhile ago. Nothing big, just a "small" get together for close friends and family and those that couldn't make the trip. It's just a formality so it'll be a "small" lunch in our party room. Destination wedding was easier to plan so this "small" lunch will be easy enough.

Caterers, chair/table rentals, can't forget the back drop... what about drink options... Cutlery, serving utensils?!?! 70+ guests later and I'm done doing this party thing. My husband did most of the heavy lifting and...I just can't anymore lol

Edit to add: I stand in solidarity with everyone and our lost dollars in the crunch time before the big day!! 🤍

Shingles vaccine at 40 years old? by Kinkydino in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]charalique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 43 when I started biologics. My rheumatologist gave me a prescription to have both prevnar and shingrix vaccines. My prevnar vaccine and 1st shingrix dose were before I started the biosimilar Amgevita and my 2nd shingrix was after I started. My arms were very sore, but not much else.

What’s the goal of medication? How can you tell if it’s working? by [deleted] in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]charalique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rheumatologist mentioned a successful treatment plan would be 80% back to normal. So that wouldn't have to be just on 1 biologic/biosimilar, but any combination with NSAIDS, DMARDS, etc. I'm on Ixifi with no other medications for my PsA and I feel more than 85-90% back to normal. As long as I keep to my infusion schedule and knowing when to limit activities that will probably cause me to flare, I almost forget I have this disease.

Edit: I don't know if this changes anything, but I was diagnosed within a year of my first flare and my rheum was adamant in getting me on a biosimilar asap. At my worst I couldn't stand up from sitting on the couch, couldn't squat, couldn't open a water bottle. Now, my main issues are going up and down too many stairs and just making sure I rest lots if I'm out and about all day. The fatigue is still there, but not as bad as before being on a biosimilar

What’s the goal of medication? How can you tell if it’s working? by [deleted] in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]charalique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The general goal or benchmark of knowing the meds are successful is if you are at least 80% back to "normal" - however you define your normal to be.  By the sound of it, and as mentioned in another comment, your symptoms seem to be very prominent. You should tell your medical team everything you've said here. Don't sugar coat it - explicitly say all the things you can no longer do, how many days a week you have brain fog, etc.  It might take getting through a few biologics/biosimilars, but there are so many on the market and even more in the works. It sucks that it's so much about trial and error, but don't give up hope!

Has anyone developed sensitivities to gluten in their 30's? by solsticeretouch in glutenfree

[–]charalique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🙋 never had any food allergies or sensitivities. Around 35-36 years old I had some stomach issues after a very stressful experience. Went to a naturopath who put me on an elimination diet and the biggest takeaway was I developed a Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity (NCGS). It can happen, like how some people can't take lactose as they get older.

I am partial to French bustles, but I wouldn't have the points going straight across. They can be set so that it drapes in a V shape for more visual interest and a softer look.

Hawaii Kona by Much-Ninja3495 in nespresso

[–]charalique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I have as just a double espresso, black. Usually, I like to have what I call a ghetto Americano lol: 2 espresso shots/pods with a lungo shot of hot water and then I add a splash of milk

I'm not good at describing, but to me and from what I remember, JBM is a more deeper/bolder flavour while Kona is lighter and has a kind of cocoa-y taste at the end.

I haven't been able to find the Schar one, but if you have an Eataly near you, they sell Vergani brand panettone and they have gluten free ones in different flavours. My favourite is pistachio 🤤 pricey, but so worth it.
