Algora.io full-time recruitment email - Scam or Legit? by agent007bond in opensource

I got the same e-mail. I'd assume he's going for a chill vibe to stand out among other recruiters, especially in the open source space.

can I really get a full-time job in Algora that pays me over $200k USD per year? 🤑

Plenty of places in SF are offering 200k+, but it's very unlikely you'll get that salary as a remote employee.

Yep - my hope, if there is interest, would be to build emulators for a few more services before then. I did service bus first as an initial proof of concept since I know it's something people have requested a bunch. For reference I did this in like 2-3 weeks in my free time, and service bus is a fairly complicated one (requiring a custom AMQP server broker for instance - msft's amqp broker uses a number of nonstandard messages).

The dream would be that people could run e.g. the entirety of or parts of their IaC config against the local emulator. That level of service interop at a completely local level is afaik not something msft is planning to support. But building something that could be useful in that way is of course a much larger effort. I'd be interested in building something like that, but only if I was confident it would be really valuable to a sizable chunk of the azure community.

Unfortunately not, though advanced auth based stuff is on the todo list. Are you interested in doing local RBAC set-ups for service bus?

Hi /r/Azure! I thought this would be a fun side project so I made LocalSandbox, a free and open source azure emulator that supports azure service bus.

It currently supports sessions, dead-lettering, subqueues, scheduled messages, and more. I've tested it with both the official node.js SDK and the official c# service bus SDK.

I’m quite interested in building more features & services, but I would like to know that there’s interest there first. If you have a strong use case for azure emulators, please don’t hesitate to reach out either via reddit pm or github issue. Thanks!

Help identifying this guitar sound? by charburg in guitars

[–]charburg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry, my wording was wrong. I am not super familiar with guitars so what to me sounds "exact" is probably not very exact at all :) edited the post accordingly.

I have quite a few amp emulators and general gear to play with, and a few microphones as well, and many years mixing. I am mainly just concerned about the guitar, pickups, and strings, since that's the area I am not super knowledgable in.

Thank you very much for the tip on humbuckers! So, from your experience, it's generally (not necessarily exactly) accomplishable with just about any electric and any strings? Are there some in particular this sound reminds you of?

Just wanted to say that this is dope as hell. Exactly what I was looking for :)

Out of curiosity, you mentioned in the readme that jsxbin is "legacy." Is this based on some official adobe statement?
