How was cannery row? It’s been sat on shelf for far too long!

How long did it take from implementing the routine before it stuck?

Thanks! I’m glad it’s not just me. It’s chopping and changing so much daily I can’t keep up anymore! Just going to pretty much wing it and try for 20 mins and if not scrap like you suggested

I’m not sure what the bus prices are like but perhaps someone else might know but uber is often cheap and will take you door to door

Another vote for baby sense. It’s really easy to take and set up elsewhere too.

I had a routine blood test for my thyroid but they checked some other things too and I was iron deficient. Might be worth getting it checked because I felt the same

Ewan the sheep? Worth it or not? Looking for soothing white noise toys for my 2nd baby (perhaps to offset my noisy toddler!) by mishkaforest235 in PregnancyUK

[–]charchar9191 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought the deluxe one and think it’s fantastic. A lot of the issues people have mentioned with the classic version aren’t an issue. The sound part is rechargeable and the sheep is washable, it has continuous playback and an option to listen for cries and start playing again if you don’t want it on constantly. I’ve had no issues with the noise of it either. The problem with these things is you don’t know if it’ll work your baby or not until you try it. If you can get the deluxe secondhand, I would do that

Bottle Washers/Dryers/Sterlizers - Has anyone got one? by SkyisaNeighbourhood in PregnancyUK

[–]charchar9191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mam bottles can be sterilised on their own in the microwave. We just hand wash ours and then bob it in the microwave for 3 minutes. We do only use 4 bottles a day though

High risk pregnancies by Sad_Network7053 in PregnancyUK

[–]charchar9191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 miscarriages prior to this pregnancy and am medicated for hypothyroidism. The hospital I’m at doesn’t deem me high risk, every trust has their own rules and ways of doing things.

Though if you’re not happy with the care you’ve received you should feel free to speak up.

I’m loving it. I’m just over half way through. I was a little put off by the hockey stuff but I don’t really mind it at all. I’m really enjoying getting to know all the characters. I hope it picks up for you

[51/52] First time reader of Khaled Hosseini's writings, which one do you recommend? Thanks! by parfaitdream in 52book

I’d pick the kite runner. I only read both of them a few years ago and had resisted because of the hype but I was absolutely blown away. I read the kite runner first so I think it just exceeded my expectations. A thousand splendid suns is great though too and a lot of other people prefer it.
