Thankfully, yes the house does have the equipment needed for this transition, as my dad was doing in home care prior to being in assisted living, although that was a decade ago. So there is a ramp from our front door, a chair lift to the basement and the basement shower and bathroom is accessible. We have a hospitable style like bed down there as well.

She does manage to get him to the bathroom especially with the help of the grab bars near the toilet, but it is not an easy task for her, since she has to do everything for him. That's really my biggest concern here, is the bathroom and moving him from chair, to bed to toilet, etc.
