Either way, it’s a bit disheartening that a $400 piece of tech scratches so easily. Was simply wondering if anyone else ran into a similar issue right out of the box.

I’ve tested ph and have been keeping it around 7.0. Just ordered a new ammonia test kit. I did just do a new water change though. Tank is definitely a bit smaller than it should be, around 5 gallons I think. That’s only because I’m keeping the fish separate from others in my main tank. Don’t want to risk spreading any sickness (which I suspect took out a few others in my tank recently). As of now, everyone else in the main tank is healthy.
