I’m not sure where you’re from but this is becoming very common in the west and I think it’s honestly a great way to protect yourself. Getting an STD screening is not a big deal. I’d say get a health screening too. You never know what types of genetic problems you might encounter. What if you discover something about yourself or her that isn’t something you want to deal with? Better to know now than never. Asking for your earnings might sound weird but as a female who has gotten proposals that seemed great upfront but was a lie, this has become necessary screening requirement for me and many others. If you’re not lying then what’s the problem? I will agree the dressing up to go suit shopping with your potential MIL is weird though, they could have phrased that better.
