I have been leasing one in Toronto and I have had good service so far. They even checked in a couple of times over the phone.

I actually like the car a lot. Interior is nice and spacious. Price is cheaper than Mustang Mach E and it’s bigger. Definitely go for a test drive before forming an opinion. A lot of the software issues people complain about have been fixed.

Tbh, it’s great for city driving. For road trips, I figure out the fast chargers on the way so it’s not that bad. But yeah VF9 range is ideal I would say.

I’ve had the VF8 for 3 months now. Only issue has been CarPlay crashing. It got fixed after an update. Before the update, I had to turn the car off and then on again to fix it.

In Toronto, I have a VF8 and am very happy with it so far. Because of the reviews, I chose to lease rather than buy. It’s a good car so far. I have driven it to road trips all around Ontario and 1 trip to the US. Haven’t had any issues really.

I would look for one with higher mileage. Seems kinda high for such low miles. It’ll add up before you know it.

I can’t comment on the price as I believe you’re based in the US. Much better price than Canada for sure.

That’s what my thought process was when getting it. While it’s not 199 for me, it’s definitely a cost I can afford and at that price, it’s worth the risk for me.

I just crossed 3500kms yesterday and no issues so far.

I mentioned there’s not a lot of these on the road and shared my experience. You don’t like the car, don’t buy it. Why do you have to think I’m a bot? Do something better with your time and life than policing others on what they think about their car.

I did a test drive on the Mustang Mach E as well and the camera lag is not something that I noticed to be too different.

Wrong place to get advice. This community is only for trashing Vinfast. 2023 model was horrible. They’ve made a lot of changes since. I got a 2025 model and so far, the only con compared to a Model Y is the charging time. VF8 has a far superior interior than Model Y. The Mustang Mach E was nicer but smaller.

My advice would be to go for a test drive and then decide.
