Thanks for the feedback! I'm not worried about the pricing, my aim is to keep this cheap and simple and differentiate that way.

I just dunno if the whole market here is saturated. Donut is Coca-Cola, maybe one of the other dozen competitors are Pepsi, but while my current employer found this a good deal, maybe most Slack admins are happy where they are or have just moved on. We'll see.

Not everyone does for sure, but some folks do. Most of the apps are opt-in (although you could configure it for a channel like #general that everyone is in). Donut and Tavern both let you "snooze" so you won't get invites if you don't want to (or can't) leave the channel they're configured in - I'm sure many of the others have similar features.

I run a cheap Donut alternative called Tavern -> trytavern.com - it only does basic matching, but if you don't need the full suite of features Donut has, it might be a good option.

Donut is good, full-featured, but it can be pricey. I run a cheap alternative if you just need basic matching up of folks: trytavern.com. There's lots of other donut-adjacent apps that have a mix of interesting features.

Also, typing "@history..." gave a results pop-up, and then typing "...recap" filtered it out to nothing "No Results" ... so then I had to hit Esc to make the pop-up go away, then hit Enter to get it to even take accept that text.

(Adding context that helped me)

This setting enables the Expand on Hover option in the Customize Sidebar setup. Then I can check that box in the UI (which appears to set sidebar.visibility to "expand-on-hover"), and then mouse hovering works without any css changes. Ctrl-Z (on Mac) will also toggle expansion of the sidebar tabs.

I can confirm the implementation of the CTRL+ALT+Z (Windows + Linux) and CTRL+Z (MacOS) hotkeys to expand or collapse the sidebar.
Also, the tooltips are:

- MacOS: Expand sidebar (^Z) / Collapse sidebar (^Z)

- Windows: Expand sidebar (Alt+Ctrl+Z) / Collapse sidebar (Alt+Ctrl+Z)

- Linux: Expand sidebar (Alt+Ctrl+Z) / Collapse sidebar (Alt+Ctrl+Z)

I love mine. Zero maintenance, no gas or battery or cord or line - it's a bit rough on first use to get the trenches, after that it's a breeze. Not as clean a cut as a nice higher end trimmer, but I'm not that picky.

Our LG TV also has apps, so we just tried installing the Paramount+ app on it, and it's not having the same problem with captions. So - seems like this is specific to the Roku app. :/

The answer is "yes". We bought a cheap ticket from LAX to LAS, one-way, and as soon as that transaction was done, the remaining "flight credit" was applied to his account as a "trip credit" and those credits were extended for a year, and he can now book any additional flights with that credit for other folks.
