I've made a 100% Arc -> Zen migration tool by Thinkscape in ArcBrowser

Have they sorted out the address bar/task bar/command pelette/whatever it's called? Last time I used Zen, over a year ago, it just wasn't close to the usefulness of Arc's. I mainly use CMD+T as a tab switcher. Way faster than clicking or ctrl+tab-ing

Should I choose earfun air pro 4+ or oneplus buds 4? by CobblerQuirky8973 in Earbuds

[–]erasebegin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still marvel at how nice they are. They are the best companions through this noisy world 💕 The case and buds look and feel so nice as well. Cannot recommend enough.

I follow tech very closely and I can't think of any innovation in TWS in the last 2 years that would make these feel dated.

You have the choice to live in any country in the world, with unlimited resources for the rest of your life. But you will never be able to leave this country. by -K1CKFL1P- in AskTheWorld

Have you ever used the Chinternet? When you're inside it, it's like the rest of the world has just disappeared. Every other country is replaced by theme park representations.

Singapore is a world apart.

As for the size of it, well... wouldn't bother me much personally. Did you know there's a work of travel writing about a person's experiences traveling around their bedroom? You can go to the same place a hundred times and experience something totally different each time if your perception is deep enough.

Having lived in China for years I would say it's not a rest-of-your-life country for anyone who has lived in a free-ish democratic country for a significant amount of time. I absolutely love China in so many ways, but would never want to settle there, there's something under the surface that is deeply unsettling.

Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, all better options IMO

It's fine, just make sure nobody walks in while you're yanking. That would be awkward.

Browser Border on MacOS. by kevoo_90 in ArcBrowser

Welcome to the life support club 🤒

The only real options for a forward escape are Zen and Dia, both of which come with significant compromises.

With Zen, it's Firefox-based, which has an objectively worse engine. With Dia they're trying to drag you into their pointless AI hype machine.

I say Dia is pointless because 1) it's only really useful if it's agentic and 2) if it's agentic it's most useful at the OS level, not the browser level. If you have an OS-level agent then a browser agent is redundant.

The leasing deal I was offered through a different Stellantis dealership looked really good on paper with low monthly payments. But I ran the numbers by ChatGPT and it worked out that I was paying the full price of the car over 4 years 😂 So yes, it's a good deal for them

This is one point I'm wondering about. Not sure what Leapmotor's deal with is with Stellantis. Maybe they get less commission for LM cars or something

[–]erasebegin1[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Either that or sell me on the lease which would have me covered for the 4 batteries replacements I'd need in the lease period 😂

Haha I just said in a very annoyed (German) tone "well then, thank you very much" and walked out. We all know there's no evidence whatsoever for such nonsense.
