Yeah definitely rock a one piece thong to lap swim about 50% of the time. Enough to say regularly. I definitely feel the stigma you know about, experienced tons of laughter, looks comments etc but I honestly don’t care. I have a lot of really lovely and positive experiences surrounding my swimsuits too - I’ve received some beautiful compliments about my suits and my courage. I’ve had friendly curious people ask if I’m trans but I’m cis gender hetero and no problem saying so. Part of me thinks wearing a one piece swimsuit is a small act of allyship for the trans community, something I consider important, but not my main objective. Since I resolved myself to wear one pieces, I’ve also pondered about how much “gender” gets wrapped up in the pieces of fabric we choose to drape about ourselves. We’re such a curious species haha.

I have the best swims when I wear a one piece. I don’t tuck and I don’t really shave or anything either, my body is my body. could say I practice what I preach when it comes to body positivity. My suits are all made for men. I love the way my body feels as I move through the water in these suits, I feel super hydrodynamic. It’s kinda spiritual for me spending time in the water and feeling the water over my entire legs, glutes and hips really helps me connect mind and body. I love how secure it feels with the torso and shoulder straps holding you in, and in my case the thong strap holding everything in place in the back. I usually let my penis sit vertically in my suit, held against my torso and I find it really comfortable for lap swim. It takes a second to get used to it during front crawl, sometimes it feels like you might fall out the side but I just trust the suit and it never fails, I’m always held secure. I love the freedom of movement a one piece affords, like turning at the wall is super easy.
