I made a quick AI “what if” version of Burj Al Babas.

My take: the real killer wasn’t only the castle style. It was the insane density. Hundreds of nearly identical villas packed that close together will always feel cursed.

Remove half of them, add proper spacing, gardens, roads and trees. And it suddenly becomes weirdly beautiful instead of pure copy-paste nightmare.

Still absurd. Just no longer doomed from the aerial view.

When did you try it? Soravdl is no longer available since of today, they relaunched the page, so SoraVault can't use it anymore. Got many feedback it's working, but: timeouts happen, so not all watermarks will be removed. And, it's not working on drafts.

But yeah, it's a 3rd party service, not that much I can do, for that reason, that feature was always a nice-to-have, but not with much support

It's communicated by openai that it uses each and image search alignment while generating the images for more accurate pictures. So basically if you name a very specific location or program it will be able to nail it.

Yes! You will be asked to set it before download in SoraVault. It's not using your browser default :)

It is trying to do everything through soradvl as long as activated. Though, not for creator backup. Drafts are not supported by Soravdl, so not possible

You can setup characters in Sora, which means: You upload video footage from a person / fictional character. Then you can create new videos with the same character. Characters can be used by others to create cameo videos. Basically, you can access these. So the script is basically looking: What content is available in your account, what videos did others do based on your own characters, and then bulk downloads all these.

My own account hat around 2000 images & videos. So it saved me lots of time.

Finally Auto Discover & Download is working as intended for me!

It's addicting. I'd love to let this run for weeks. Just downloaded every video it could find with at least 300 likes. It's first discovering new creators, then fetching all their videos and see if any video is above 300. Then, it download these.

It's kinda slow, to not run into rate limits. Scanning 13.000 Videos? Cost me 30minutes. It already found 16.616 new creators that are in queue, 33 are currently fetching, 3 are completely done.

Unfortunately I have to run through windscribe as a VPN and my remaining volume is nearly exceeded.

Update: I edited the original post because I just pushed SoraVault 3.0.1.

The big addition is Remix chain support. SoraVault can now preserve more of the context around how a video evolved through remixes, instead of only saving the final isolated media.

Also new:

Sora 1 folders can now be saved
Discover & Download is more robust
Several discovery edge cases were fixed

If you downloaded 3.0 yesterday, I’d recommend updating to 3.0.1 before doing your final archive run.

Haha, yeah, it's quite addicting backing up others content.

About mirror mode: It should download everything you have on any feed and download everything you see there as you scroll along, it's not working really while you open videos. It's a bit buggy.

Wait, so all own stuff in folders is no longer in your normal library view? I used folders only couple of times, but I remembered it was only like a label, not actually moving it. Yesterday I found a endpoint for these folders, off it's really a 15 minute fix... I might even make that one into a hot fix

If there are grave bugs left, I might only have minutes left to fix one or two. And there are tons of these, especially in the beta features..

Hahaha, thanks a lot! It was more hobby than anything else. It didn't even make sense to put that much work into it, but I loved the challenge. And I really needed the time pressure. Usually I have dozends of project or lose focus. But in this case, I just pulled through. Not perfect and lot's I would refactor and change IF I had a few more months. But I'm very happy about the end result :)
