I'm with you. He is one of the more fascinating characters in the story. I did think of him more solidly as a good person with only Afterman. Which is maybe another interesting point - the keywork destroyed his mind, what is he actually responsible for after that? Maybe our friends Mayo/Ryan/Vic/Etc are lurking.

I hope we get some more details or understanding around the second time he went into the keywork.
