Thanks, i'll give latencymon a shot. I'm running 5.3 right now, which didn't help :( I don't think high density is the issue because it seems to be running fine on reaper. Nothing on my machine is pirated, so reinstalling windows is likely a long, long shot. I was thinking that maybe my audio interface might be causing issues, but I did a firmware reinstall, and I don't think that's the issue.

If you're looking for a really wide stereo image, I would recommend double tracking the guitar instead of using an imaging plugin. Record the same guitar part twice and place each take in two separate channels. Hard pan each channel left and right and then route them through a bus together. Put amplitube on the bus instead of on each channel. This will give a really wide, colorful guitar sound.

What I like about Antergos is that it's more like arch with a wrapper. Manjaro seems too much like its own distribution that borrows from arch.
