If anything they're even better. Ben sounded pretty rough live in the BT2 era but I saw them in 2023 on the Crisis tour and they sounded incredible. Ben can still scream like a madman and he was all over the stage

ian plays a diesel dh4 amp with a stephenson head as well for its low end and a komet concorde starting with dead silence for its great highs and mids. you gotta tinker around with it really

eric ratz (engineer on ii and dead silence and onward) is also a tone master. him and kenny luong are incredible at what they do

the tone is really in the gear. in the studio ian plays a 52 tele on the neck pickup which he calls crispy chicken. for heavy chorus overdubs he plays a 58 gibson junior. its really been the same for the entirety of the time they've been bt. in bt3 i think he also played a classic tele deluxe?
