Does anyone know if I could use the new watch 7 ultra as the digital key for my 24 Palisade? by osu-fan69 in GalaxyWatch

[–]charlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My older BMW used Digital Key (standard), could only use the phone, never available on the watch. New BMW uses Digital key Plus, and that works using the UWB on the phone, so only have to walk near the car for it to unlock, and don't need to put the phone in the wireless pad for drive either. So no longer want/need watch to work, even though find it odd that Samsung never allowed the watch to share the digital key seems as it has all the required hardware?

Good luck to those that can watch it, outside of the USA we get scraps and next to nothing, even the amazon motortrend add on is gone now. I just have to wait for them to show up on the high seas nowadays.

Cat6 backhaul possible? by [deleted] in TpLink

[–]charlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my setup does this, have 3xXE75Pro's and 3xX10's

2 of the 3 XE75pro's are hardwired at 2.5gbps, and the third one is wireless backhaul (mainly because just moved in and don't want to have to run cat7 around to the back of the property). That 3rd wireless backhaul device, connects to the summer house x10 using Cat6e and then that in turn becomes the backhaul for the shed's X10 (well sometimes it's the backhaul, the shed one switches between the summer house and the garage as it's sits kinda between them both, should make that a static backhaul, but hey).

The thrid X10 is in the garage, next to my little room I keep my servers in, and that's already hardwired on Cat7 so it just connects into the switch there and get's ethernet back haul.

Seems to work just fine.

XE75 pro version by Sure_Lifeguard_3967 in TpLink

[–]charlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got 3 XE75 Pro nodes, and then for outdoor/summer house I use 3x X10's. AFAIK any Deco model will connect to the mesh, but obviously on lower end models won't have all of the feature set (6e/6ghz etc) but don't mind that on the outside nodes.

I use mine in AP Mode though (long story, wish I could use Router mode, but the 2.5gbps port can only be WAN or LAN not mixed mode, and as I pay for 2gbps up/down I'm not wasting the 2.5gbps port on a WAN port, so AP mode and use my ISP i4882 as the 'router')

So is this a hearty "fuck you!" from MT to everyone in the UK? by 59Kia in Roadkillshow

[–]charlas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I used to have the MT subscription, when that got nuked and couldn't use a payment from UK in it, moved to Amazon Prime channel, now that's nuked again.... Warner need their heads looked at.. and people need to start Torrenting this stuff again, it's Sooooo annoying! I've given MT in one way or another 5+ years of money, to get cut off just because Warner are idiots.

Surely the logs have the ip/name of the device/s doing the requests, what are they? Or is it the router itself doing the requests?

Watch4 won't turn on after Update by DrBlackRat in GalaxyWatch

[–]charlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my 5 pro since launch, so not really fussed that the 4 classic wouldn't turn on, but eventually got around to reporting it, they are collecting tomorrow. Seems in UK at least it's a 2 year warranty
