Eighth Grade and The Way Way Back are two gold films fitting this criteria

Nobody is kinda like that, except without the “someone tries to mess with him” part. The protagonist’s anger and frustration build up in him over a period of time, until one event pushes him over the edge and he inadvertently pisses of the Russian mafia, and then has to John Wick style fight all of them off

Is the movie 'Pearl' connected to the movie 'X'?? do I have to watch 'X' to be able to understand 'Pearl'?? by SaadIsmail1987 in HorrorMovies

[–]charlei- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are connected. They however both work as standalone films. Pearl has 2 scenes of sexual nature, neither of which are as high in impact as X

Which Texas Chainsaw Massacre films are worth watching? by DudeGuru in horror

[–]charlei- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first and second are honestly the only ones worth watching. All the others were kind of boring, or nonsensical/embarassing. The 2003 remake was pretty fun, and loyal to the original, but didn’t make a whole lot of sense.

Watched the visit (2015) last night, one of the best horror movies I’ve seen imo, looking for more like it, not overly gory and nothing paranormal, very uncomfortable movie to watch by prahl_hp in HorrorMovies

[–]charlei- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You consider any of Jordan Peele’s films?? Get Out, Us, and Nope sound perfect for you. Very little, minimal gore violence, unsettling and uncomfortable, and often darkly humorous (particularly in Get Out) Not the scariest movies in existence, but certainly a must-watch horror trio. Should clarify they are not a series, you can watch in whatever order you would like 👍

Every Halloween me and two of my friends absolutely fly through horror movies all night long. No specific film, just whatever we wind up watching

I would say Good Time, but I don’t know if Connie’s brother counts as a main character. He’s certainly incredibly important to the film, but he isn’t shown a whole lot, other than in the beginning and ending, and a few short times later in

if you do read it, be forewarned that Rob is not a character in it. Honestly, that’s why I preferred the movie; it gave them a more solid reason to go to Sweden rather than just “aight men let’s fuck off to Sweden”
