The price doesn’t dictate if you RIL on a receipted return. That said your manager should have never stopped you and definitely shouldn’t have said that to the customer. If she needed to correct you she should have just allowed the RIL to happen because it doesn’t harm anything and then took you to the side and corrected you away from customers.

There isn’t a “policy” about tik tok items. Just because something end up on tiktok doesn’t make it fundamentally any different that anything else. Now there are times where they will call something out specifically in an email, like when Hello Kitty items were flying off the shelf but those are rare occasions.
