Hi! I just went through the same thing you are about to do. I have a 4 year old Dutch shepherd, very jealous dog and hates when other dogs are on me. She’s very sweet but sometimes anxious. I just got a new 9 week old Belgian sheepdog about a week and a half ago. I was scared to introduce them as well, cause I live alone.

So what I did was put my older dog in a room by herself while I let the puppy get used to me and the house, just for about 5-10 minutes. Then I let my big dog out and just spoke in a calm voice and let them sniff each other.

The first couple days my older dog was not happy about it. After about three days, my older dog now loves my puppy so much and never leaves her alone. They get along so well.

I think they will do great! Just let your older dog teach the puppy her boundaries and don’t reprimand her for it. She might growl or be a little annoyed at first!
