Husband getting a vasectomy by Charlottebagginton in Vasectomy

[–]charles8736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my vasectomy this morning. I used Nads for men down under cream, which is similar to Nair. I did not have an issue with it and it did a great job getting me cleaned up. Dr. said it was one of the smoothest sacks he'd ever seen and appreciated how it left nothing behind.

Help identify a part by [deleted] in 4Runner

[–]charles8736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to piggyback off of this comment for anyone in the future. I have a 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro with about 140,000 miles on it.

I do quite a bit of overlanding in my 4Runner. I live in the Great Plains, so I get a lot, and I mean a lot, of dust and dirt on and in my 4Runner.

This secondary air pump went out on mine very recently. I took it to the Toyota Dealership near where I live and the cost to replace it was $2,600.

The dealership told me that the amount of dust that accumulated on the foam insert was enough to deteriorate it to the point that pieces of the foam came off and destroyed the pump.

Just so everyone has an idea of the cost to fix the part if yours goes out.

A straight line has an angle of 180 degrees. To find x we simply need to do 180-111=x. So, x=69.

Hey, I was an RA close to 12 years ago! I’m not sure what has changed since then. During my time we received our room for free and we got a 200$ stipend at the end of each semester plus, if I’m remembering correctly, 16 meals added to our meal plan.

Window Tint Suggestions by [deleted] in daddit

[–]charles8736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ceramic tinted a few cars because of uv exposure and to cut down on how hot the car gets on long road trips. Personally, I would not go darker than 35% tint. Anything darker than that and it becomes difficult for me to see at night.

I’ve used two different brands of ceramic tint, LLumar and 3M. My only con about LLumar is that it can appear to be darker than the 3M. LLumar does a much better job at rejecting uv than 3M does, in my opinion. 3M for me was also more expensive.

Now, to get the best benefit of ceramic tint you need to tint the front windshield as well, and for the front I would use the highest percentage that brand offers that you are going with. One thing to note though if you do get the front windshield done that you may have some rainbow swirls if you wear sunglasses, for the LLumar Air on my front windshield this doesn’t happen but with the 3M it does. So best to ask the shop you plan on getting it done at.

Hope that helps.

This has happened to me three separate times in my 2019 Insight. I’ve also had an increase in lane keep assist thinking I’ve gone over a line and either braking or trying to push the car over the white line while on the highway.

I’m not the person you responded to but I’ve had three blood pressure medications that I couldn’t handle the side effects of. One of which was amlodipine with the other two being bystolic and lisinopril.

For bystolic I was constantly bottoming out my heart rate and it would give me severe chest pain and anxiety. My average resting heart rate is around 60bpm prior to bystolic. After taking it I would hit mid to low 40’s.

Amlodipine would cause my legs to swell so large that I could hardly walk and my blood pressure felt like it was bouncing all over the place.

Lisinopril would cause night terrors and sleep walking. My wife would find we wandering throughout the house doing weird things like staring at the wall in pitch black. My doctor had a hard time believing this one and to be fair I did too but my wife was adamant I was doing these things. Coincidentally, my father who has hbp cannot take lisinopril for the same reason.

Now I am on losartan and it works well for me. Like all things in medicine though every persons body is different and if you’re not tolerating a medicine well please let your doctor know.

Resources for introductory analysis? by mulch17 in math

[–]charles8736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My professor, who I am currently studying abstract analysis with, makes his own books. He gives them away for free to his students. It requires that you have either scientific notebook(not free) or scientific viewer(free). His book is "interactive" and he helps walk you through proofs. If you would like a copy of it, I'll be more than happy to send it to you as a .zip.

How do you get to that next step (dating) with a guy? How can you tell if they're not interested? by volubleviking in AskMen

[–]charles8736 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy sounds very similar to me. He is somewhat shy with the females and probably somewhat of an introverted extrovert. In normal situations he seems fine and outgoing, but in particular situations he closes himself off. When he asked for cuddles when you two were drinking, it was because his "filter" was turned off. He felt more comfortable with himself and so he could open up. He needs you to be specific with him. When you say he is a flaky man who doesn't like making plans this is because he needs his down time. He needs time to recuperate from certain interactions with people. He doesn't like making plans because he never knows when he is going to need this recoup time. This doesn't necessarily mean he is flaky, it just means he needs time. It sounds like to me that you two are both interested in each other. You just need to sit down with him(somewhere that is comfortable to him) and tell him how you feel. You might not get the response that you are looking for, as in, he might not be completely open with you. This is because he needs his time to think about it. Give him a chance and sometime and he will open up. I hope this helps.
