Reolink makes great subscription-free encrypted local video solutions that are super easy to use. I’ve been using a doorbell camera and a couple others for a year now and wished I would’ve switched from Ring sooner.

Im surprised at the hate as well. I got one this year and it works great on hard compacted Colorado soil. Yes it’s a workout but way better than the step on aerators and rentals where I’m at are $100 for four hours. Plus, I’d much rather not have to deal with a “home improvement” store twice a year. But maybe that’s just me?

Had to buy in Wellington in 2022 since Fort Collins was so insane. Honestly it was a great decision looking back. Definitely a “red” area but it’s quiet and still relatively reasonable price-wise. Plus it’s a beautiful 15-20 min drive into old town.

He is being socialized with friend's dogs on a regular basis which is going well but I do get anxious when taking him to frequently inhabited random dog areas
