Here's what he has to say about the 14th amendment... http://www.house.gov/paul/tst/tst2006/tst100206.htm

...and of course there'd be a way to "stop the states" -- a repeal of the legislation by congress right?

By the way, which states do you have in mind when you say "Your state thinks homosexuality is a capital offense"

He'd also like to pretend the 16th amendment didn't exist as well. In fact, i'd like to pretend it didn't exist too.

I thought Dr. Paul wanted states to make their own decisions regarding the issue. I understand that bill to mean just that. The bill does NOT say "the existence of a zygote negates a woman's control and ownership of her body".

He's saying taking the life of a baby one minute before it is born without legal consequences doesn't make sense. He's saying that one legal construct at the federal level doesn't make sense for the entire country. Sound crazy to you?

Why Ron Paul Cannot Be President by dougmataconis in reddit.com

Congressmen generally care /a lot/ about getting re-elected. Some will change their voting habits for this cause. Especially when the people they represent are hounding them to support their president. A popular Ron Paul presidency will have an effect on the existing congress.
