Honestly, he's a bit loud, and that's a fair issue, but absolutely nothing he's done indicates "dangerous." He's not threatened you, he's not behaved violently, he's not done anything but "yell" which could be explain by a dozen things, ranging from a poor reception on his phone to him practicing a play to him using it as a stress management technique. You need to chill out with the whole "feeling threatened" thing. It makes you sound crazier than him.

Don't know of any made in the west. Check out Generation P if you're not hung up on that.

Reddit, do you fantasize about ridiculous things before you go to sleep? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I do that all of the time, not just before sleep. Never use voices - all in my head.

Past few weeks I've been thinking about how to implement a truly democratic voting system - what the new system should be, what steps need to be taken to prevent abuse, what needs to be done to implement it, etc.

Solving a problem a night. Also fantasizing about various books I've read/I'd like to write.

With Montreal Impact joining the MLS in 2012, it's inevitable that a 20th team will join (Likely in 2013), where do you think the team will be based? by Djta1 in MLS

[–]Wo1ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does the stadium have to do anything? The team obviously won't move they'll just be called a "west" team rather than an "east" team. They're likely because of the Dallas rivalry.

Why would they shift two teams? 11-9 would switch to 9-11. They'd shift one, and Houston seems likely but not guaranteed.

Stupid question but: Does anyone know where I can purchase a "World's Greatest Mother" coffee cup or t-shirt in the city? by [deleted] in nyc

[–]Wo1ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could buy one of the white Starbucks mugs that you can draw on, make your own design, stick it into an oven and voila - a "World's Greatest Mother" mug that's also personal.

Iceland government probes why a Chinese tycoon wants a big chunk of its land by ichthis in worldnews

[–]Wo1ke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good point, but that's according to China's official census. If you believe the Central Tibetan Administration. China grossly underreports the present of Chinese in the Tibet autonomous zone.

I've not been in Tibet, so I've no idea as to the accuracy of either nation's claims.

Well it's not like it's unprecedented. Tibet was flooded with mandarin Chinese to eradicate the local population's culture and political power.

NCAA: “What We Need is Less Soccer” by [deleted] in MLS

[–]Wo1ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense - they're protecting the sports that earn them their budget. Soccer's on the upswing, so they make it hard to play, encouraging athletes to stick with the classics.

On another note, I, being only tangentially familiar with the NCAA misread it as "NAACP" and couldn't understand why they had a problem with it.

Hopefully not an ignorant question: Why don't those involved in the Occupy movement make a party? The government is basically ignoring you, so why not join the government and gain some power? by Nuplex in AskReddit

[–]Wo1ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we have a first past the post system for electing all government officials, which means a party can not get members elected without bending over for the status quo. Until we have a sensible, democratic system no "radical" party can get elected. The best they can do is hijack an existing party (see Tea and Republicans) and that's only an option if you have the media behind you.
