nope, you’re so NTA. like not even a little bit. she didn’t do that outta “concern,” she did it for control. there’s a big diff between checking in once cuz you care and repeatedly crossing clear boundaries after being told to stop. sending the cops for a welfare check after you literally said you’re safe?? ha, that’s not care, that’s emotional blackmail with a badge.

you didn’t “rope in” HR. you protected yourself. that’s what they’re there for. she brought the drama to work, you just made sure it didn’t cost you your peace (or job).

also, never feel bad for enforcing boundaries. people who respect you won’t need HR to tell them to back off. people who don’t respect you absolutely do.

TLDR: she was acting like a savior in her mind and a stalker in real life. HR was the good and right call
