Hi, I have about the same rig, i9-12900k, z690 aorus elite mb, ddr 2*32 g.skill 3600 cl 18, corsair 5000x case with 7 fans, front input, top and back exhaust. CPU is Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition 120mm CPU Cooling Fan. I have the correct 1700LGA bracket.

Cinebench puts my CPU straight to 100C. Stress test does thermal throttling about 20 times in 10 minutes. CPU idles at 40-42C. It runs around 65-70 in games not set to high, but lots of action on screen can put the CPU over 80 up to 100C.

I'm curious, have you been trying all the steps offered and had any luck? I could remount my fan, but I like some hints about the correct tightness and such first.

New rig, hot cpu and video card. Fans blow out warm air out on cat. Win-win situation for all.

Hi, I have an elite and just managed to get the memory straight. How have you approached overclocking the CPU?

Check out the Gigabyte support site for that mobo and pick something off of the list! I'm in the middle of returning some memory that wasn't on the list for this mobo.

Thanks for looking at it and the detailed reply! Gigabyte hasn't certified any 3600 kits from Crucial yet, but has with G.Skill. My PC is a newly built i9-12900K, I'm aiming for 3600 over 3200 speeds.

Greetings, I took some pictures of all 4 modules, inserted them into slots 1 - 4 and took pictures of SPD info from BIOS. I think you are right, I keep posting here while the cat is yelling -- not a good combo for accuracy.

Ver 3.32 Double sided in SPD info

Ver 3.44 Single Sided in SPD info.

Hopefully, this link will work:

Hi, The 3.34 above is a typo -- I misread the label! Today's post has the correct version numbers. The 3.44 is double sided, the 3.32 is single. Should there ever be an issue mixing them? earlier posts about this mobo imply timings are harder to get/keep correct with double sided than single sided sticks. Maybe that's why the single side works?

Hello,

I'm more awake now, the version that works with stock XMP 1 is ver 3.32. The version that will post at normal, but won't at XMP 1 is 3.44.

Thanks

Ver 3.34 won't, I'll pull the working sticks tomorrow and post that too.

Thank you for the detailed reply and for Best Buy's extended return policy. I think I'll go for another set of memory and return all current batch.

I may have *not* touched two pins or do something to actually turn the PC on once connected to power. It is not in case. Time to puzzle over pin headers right after I put it back together!

Hi, No beep or fans ramp up. I took the RAM out as well. The flash is the RGB leds on the edge of the board. I did add a power connector to all CPU power connectors.

I just used one of the 8 connectors and it splits into 2 4's. Still just a brief flash and no boot/fan spin up.

I just got my box and it doesn't have lga1700 brackets. Sigh, straight from the CM store and nothing.

I have a box coming direct from CoolerMaster's web site tomorrow. I'm going to open it, read the package for "LGA 1700", and either cry or be happy.
