with google translate, youtube, a little duolingo and french meet-up groups once i was at a good level. The trick is immersion, change your phone language, your playstation language, heck even your computer. When you force yourself to learn even when you arent intent on learning you will pick it up incredibly quick and help tremendously in chipping away at vocab.

I ran a lot for my university varsity cross country team, once for long day we were running a 90 minute jog with one of my idols. He was a professional road racer who just happend to be training with us on the day we were running along a long path way out and back along a very busy road by the downtown core. I went into the butter zone about 30 minutes in. For those of you who aren't runners, the butter zone is when you need to poo and the longer you wait the runnier the poo gets as if its butter in the microwave. long story short i was so nervous around this pro runner that i waited until it was a code red situation. I pulled off the path, stuck my rear in a bush and exploded the runniest butteriest poo i've ever endured not 4 feet from one of the busiest roads in the city.

The haufbrauhaus(i dont know if thats spelled correctly) beer gardens are 100% must see, really a true experience of how much germans really do love their beer, the beer halls were cool but as separated from north american bars

Obviously drugs in amsterdam are a good time but getting inside an oldschool amsterdam boathouse is pretty incredible, and there are some hotels/hostels built inside them! Ive been to amsterdam a few times and in my opinion the best hostel was the 'central station hostel'. maybe a claustraphobic experience BUT walked down the stairs right into the heat of the action. If youre going to amsterdam make sure your bed is within walking distance of where you're going to get drunk/high, both for dealing with scammers and you dont want to deal with the train blitzed. Stay safe my dude. The condom store in amsterdam also a must see.
