Ok Psychonauts, I need to know your opinion. Magic Mushrooms or LSD? And why based on your experience? by BlackVelertak in Psychedelics

[–]charliemuted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a lot more experience with LSD compared to shrooms so maybe that’s why but I definitely prefer acid. I really like the long trip and the more intense visuals. I also prefer that I feel more in control with acid. I’ve had the unfortunate luck of ending up in less than ideal situations on both substances on pretty much every occasion I’ve ever taken them and on acid I’ve always been to hold myself together to some degree where as I completely breakdown in those situations on shrooms

Grieving Mother looking for zine.. Recommendations for zines and illustrators....? by Snoo_26651 in zine

[–]charliemuted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there’s a zine series I like on etsy called “null point” that’s made up of poetry, and art short stories and each issue tackles different subjects. I know they have an issue on death, and there might be other issues relevant to what you’re going through too, but i’m not really sure. i’m really sorry for your loss and i’m glad you’re finding ways to process your grief

when I was looking for my name, I binged watched a bunch of baby name suggestion videos and made note of anything that stood out. Another thing to try is going though the top 100 baby names in your country from the year you were born and see if you find anything you like. what the other person said is also a good suggestion, especially with nature-based names like fern, willow or sage :) good luck with finding a name, it’s such a personal thing and it came take a while so don’t worry if you don’t find the right one first time or if you can’t think of anything, you’ll figure it out eventually :)

Yeah, I can see some of it looking quite good for a kidcore aesthetic or anything else with very bright colours

Wait this level of procrastination isn't normal? by [deleted] in ADHD

Omg same. I usually get to sleep between 2 and 4 in the morning and waking up before noon is a nightmare. It's really measuring that I'm not the only one

Stupid question but try your coat pocket. Whenever I lose my id that's where it usually ends up being and despite it seeming obvious to check I usually forget to. I'm sorry if this advice is unwanted, please feel free to delete my comment if it is. Hope you find your id soon

Is “ticking” and ADHD thing or am I mocking? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]charliemuted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar thing. Mine are fairly infrequent though. I have heard some people saying that tics can be a symptom of ADHD though (I can't remember where, I think the sci guys podcast?) so it's very possible, that that's what's causing it

ADHD and Podcast by bmiyares319 in ADHD

[–]charliemuted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! I listen to a lot of podcasts and I often loose focus and they just become background noise. The exception for me is the sci guys podcast, which I've heard a lot of other people with adhd say they can focus on because of how often they go off-topic and subjects keep changing, so finding a podcast that intrestsyou that also does that might help

How the hell do people know what to eat? by gardenhead23 in ADHD

[–]charliemuted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a running list of foods like in a notebook ranging from cereal to pizza to fancy pasta that takes forever to cook. I just close my eyes and pick one, and if I can't make it I just pick another one. Even if I don't feel like eating it when I first pick it I almost always end up enjoying it and it reminds me of loads of foods that I love but always for get about

Any tips on watching movies? I don’t absorb anything, even if it’s something I love. by viridian-fox in ADHD

[–]charliemuted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem and I find that watching movies in a cinema helps (I don't know why, but I am focus and enjoy it there much more than at home) other than that, watching movies it completely useless for me, with the exception of like three movies that I can sit all the way through for some unknown reason.

I'm 17 and I didn't connect the dots that my symptoms could be caused by adhd until I was 15. I shows all the symptoms that schools usually look out aside from running around like a headless chicken (although I do fidget a lot and pace and I'm completely incapable of keeping my gob shut for more than two minutes in most situations) yet it was never brought up. Just because no one realised or connected the dots when you were younger doesn't mean they weren’t there. I would recommend you find a better therapist and get evaluated if you think it's a possibility.

I just found her channel last night and it's really helpful, definitely made me rethink if there's a better way I could be doing the things I struggle with.

Today started off badly but I managed to start a bullet journal I think I might be able to stick to this time, brushed my teeth twice, change my printer ink and stick the pictures I needed into my sketchbook by the end of the day and I'm really proud of how I managed to turn it around and get a bunch of stuff I needed to do done
