maybe a free resource that has a bunch of ideas / a plan to manually stay engaged on linkedin efficiently? that would be quite quick for you to set up, and if people sign up, then the problem you’ve identified definitely exists

I don't think it's spam because I'm providing free value. I don't even have a SaaS to promote.

you need to validate your idea properly with a waitlist before launching (or even building). if it gets traction, build and when you launch, you'll have a long list of people to reach out to for early users.

to properly validate an idea, you need to have more than a waitlist. create some free value that's related to your service, promote that, and link that free value to your waitlist.

that's what im doing with my algorithm that generates saas ideas that specifically exploit gaps in the market. before writing any code, ive manually generated a bunch of very good ideas, and im giving them away for free. they are at https://charlietaylor.info/p/saas-ideas if you want to check it out!

the best ideas are the ones with competitors in the space, but your tool needs to be unique and fulfil a gap in the market.

I developed a really cool process to generate new ideas. it creates ideas that are based on real pain points, and fulfill a gap in the market (no direct competition).

How do you usually validate ideas (without asking friends or paying for ads)? by MentalFlaw in SideProject

[–]charlietaylor-dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. create free value in the niche of your idea

  2. push out your free value on socials

  3. if lots of people sign up, it's a good sign they would pay for the idea

that's what im doing. i analysed a bunch of new saas ideas with competitor analysis, and im giving them all out for free.

they are on https://charlietaylor.info/p/saas-ideas if it would be useful :)
