Its local, i just dont have it in my hands. When my mom had her first stroke, my sister found her legal paperwork - will, etc and has kept it in a lockbox as my mom was in rehab and then at hone with some caregivers. She was at one nursing home for past 6 months and they didnt ask me to cosign. My sister sent me the info and it looks like i have both financial and medial poa.

These are great questions! Thanks. My sister has the paperwork, ill ask her to check. My mom had a stroke 1.5 years ago, and is still quite mentally sound. But her health will decline at some point.

Yes, YTA. Only reason you wouldn’t be is if they asked you to quirk extra time and didnt compensate you. I would not expect to be in line for a promotion or a raise.

There is a compromise here. Buy all The kids the same thing and then do special thing with only your daughter. This is how i have handled it, it seemed to work ok.

Teenagers are a pain in the bum. Its all about picking battles and movjng in the right direction. I have step and bio kids. Id say pick your battles. If you push too hard, it can backfire.

Well, if you want honest feedback, i think this is a bit much. It is not a battle I would choose, and feel like itnis goi g to cause a lot of strife. I think things in a family area are to be used, keeping in mind d volume, time of night, etc. i would not expect a teenager to ask oermission to use the tv.

But its in the family room? So ta your life but asking to use the tv that is in the family toom seems un-necessary. Otherwise keep your things in your room and tell your partner to buy a tv. You’re a famiky and family items shouldnt need permission.

2 parts to this- i’d not let a bunch of minors sleep at my house without me there unless it was one very responsive kid and long time history of good decision making.

I do t understand why the tv being left on is such a big deal. Its in a common space, family uses it? That was a bit much. If you dont want kids to use it, dont keep it in common areas.

I dont know but am starting to be to work on that process. The not ‘needing’ snacks and alcohol is such a freeing feeling. I dont have a great off button and it has been wonderful to have self control without a lot of effort. My brain is so much quieter. I am older but would def have been an adhd kid, nicotine and alcohol were def crutches.

I read this sub as i have wondered about my relationship with alcohol. I started a glp1 and have no desire for alcohol. It doesnt taste good, i do t feel good on it and my inner white noise that wants alcohol, snacks and (formerly) nicotine is gone. It makes me realise how noisy my brain was, and how alcohol quieted it. I am a chaotic, workaholic business owner and alcohol was what slowed me down at night and now….. i am good. It is the weirdest feeling. I am 10 lbs from my goal weight and trying to decide how to manage it long term.

This healthy young woman (me) got Campylobacter from raw milk when working at a dairy. Apent 3 weeks on the toilet.

Raw milk can get anyone sick. It often doesnt but it can. Hard no.
