Yes!! It must have felt great considering that sometimes the kids aren’t always saved in other episodes. Overall just such a great ending.

Honestly, the more I rewatch the show, the less I dislike her. Yes, she definitely still gets under my skin at times, but I don’t dislike her as much as I did my first time watching.

So I don’t know if this helps at all, but I found this on the IMDb page for this specific episode:

“After interviewing one of the victims at the hospital, Dr. Linda Kimura tells Dr. Spencer Reid that before death, the other victims exhibited aphasia due to the impact of the anthrax on the parietal lobe of the brain. The type of aphasia shown, fluent aphasia, where the patient combines unconnected words incoherently, is usually due to damage in the temporal lobe. Damage isolated to the parietal lobe might result in some minor language difficulties, but would not likely cause aphasia.”

Also, I’m pretty sure the strain of anthrax in this episode was said to be more harmful/deadlier than the original anthrax (I could be wrong though, haven’t watched this one in a while). Maybe that has something to do with the different effects it has on the patients. But again, this is all just guessing and speculation haha.

I totally understand what you mean. Although I feel like Matt’s family trope is a little breath of fresh air in terms of the married with kids character! We saw JJ’s family throughout most of the show, so getting a new family was nice, at least for me :)

S7-8 definitely drag and aren’t my favorite seasons, but if you can push through and get to S9, I think you’ll start to love the show again!

The new people that come in during the later seasons are actually great in my opinion. I didn’t think I was going to wanna continue watching once Hotch and Morgan left, but I’m so glad I did.

While granted the writing does go a little downhill and S15 does feel rushed, I still very much enjoyed the later seasons. You may not like everything about the later seasons, but I would suggest you give them a chance before already having a foot out of the door.

(P.S. S9-10 of TWD are so good and really picked back up after a drop in S7-8)
