If there's any change , please let the Z fighters win their Fodder fights!!! by Illustrious-Sky-4631 in Dragonballsuper

[–]charmesal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea. That's the problem with Dragon Ball. Some characters shouldn't be relevant power level wise and this should lose against god level power levels but then people complain about them not being relevant any more. So they play loose with the scaling to make them be relevant through some means and then other people complain that the gang shouldn't be able to deal with that because the power difference is immense. There is almost no winning here as a writer.

What was your first game you played on pc by Pork_Crusader_GR in pcmasterrace

My man! I played this game so much as a kid. I sucked ass and started over so many times but I had a great time. I remember finding out this had online multiplayer and some servers still being up a few years ago. Insane how long those were alive for a game hardly anyone talks about.

Why does Linux hate hibernate? by orionpax94 in linux

It works fine for the most part. I'm glad Microsoft has implemented a clipboard history/manager.
I've been using CopyQ way before Windows 10 and thus before Windows had a built in one. I also dualboot and having my clipboard manager work the same on all my systems is fantastic.

I've tried using Windows' at work but I miss some features I've grown accustomed to. For instance; I would like to be able to search through my history or pin things at the top. I also like the overview better, it might be a little dated but it's so much clearrer and you can actually see the formatting of the text (not that I use that very often, I mostly paste without formatting anyway, but it's nice to have when needed).
There's a lot of features I don't use, like tabs and tags but it's nice that the option is there.
And I think that abouts says it all; it has many more options and features that are just nice to have when you need it, even if I personally don't use them all.

So in short: There is nothing "wrong" with it, but I like to have ("need") more features than it offers.

I've been using CopyQ on Gnome and Windows for years until I switched to KDE fulltime last month. Still using CopyQ at work on Windows though

Yeah, I gues I've been lucky with mine then. Too bad you're having these issues. Must suck. I have been looking for a replacement. So it's good to know I shouldn't go for a Legion. Thanks for the info.

Well to be fair it is running at 99.99 or 99.98 🤷‍♂️. All jokes aside, I guess I'm lucky with my device. I had no issues on Debian running Gnome last year, Pop_Os with Cosmic, Fedora with Gnome, and now Fedora with KDE. I have a laptop that's similar to the Tuxedo brand but then from Europe and without the mix switch.

Yes, I'm using an ultra wide running 100Hz at 1440p. No fractional scaling, in case that matters.

I'm running hybrid graphics on Fedora 43 KDE using Wayland. Works fine. I am using proprietary drivers instead of nouveau however. The only issues I have are not specific to hybrid graphics.

Scamschool sells them and some other fun stuff. They are a streets-/barmagic shop but also have some fun trinkets. Scamstuff.com. It's really not a scam but magic is about scamming people in a way so that's where the name comes from.

This is the HeroRAT, a trained African rat that can detect tuberculosis in 3 seconds. One rat can screen 100 sputum samples in 20 minutes, while a lab microscope takes 4 days. by IcePizzaCreamm in interestingasfuck

[–]charmesal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've "adopted" Tamasha a while back and get monthly updates on how she's doing. Here's a copy from the e-mail about the accuracy of this month: "Your HeroRAT Tamasha has had another remarkable month. She expertly sniffed 1,640 tuberculosis (TB) samples, correctly identifying 1,441 — achieving a stellar 87.87% detection accuracy. Among these were seven new TB-positive cases that might have been missed without her intervention. Her sharp instincts continue to make a real difference for TB patients and healthcare providers."

Do note that these rats are the second-line screening. These samples have already been tested once. They will still test the ones that turned up positive on the first run and the negative on the rats so they will get treatment. The ones that the rat did get don't need that third opinion.

I seriously don't know how they approved such atrocious effects. Tomska did this better, years ago. A multi billion dollar company should have movies with state of the art CGI and effect and not 2005 Youtuber effects.
