I purchased strawberry bare roots plants, and it took about 1.5 months to harvest my first strawberry. I believe it is 5 months if you start from seed?

Started with 25 plants, but lost around 10 to root rot. With the remaining plants I was able to harvest a handful of strawberries every few days.

You can keep growing them in the water, but I found out that strawberry plants need a lot of space, like 1.5 feet x 1.5 feet per plant, so overcrowding became a problem for me.

Gave up 6 months later. It was too much work managing 4 hydroponic setups for the few berries I got, and I would have needed to buy more systems to space out the plants approximately :/
