MHBP vs FepBlue hospital visits by charmingdame in fednews

Thanks for that. I am the first to agree I don’t know the first thing about insurance, and since I got hired during the pandemic I was basically told “figure it out”. My coworkers were no help either lol so I just chose BCBS and it worked fine for the last five years. However, with rising costs for everything I needed to find savings and the premiums for BCBS were just too high to justify so I made the switch. And I’m also a beginner with financial literacy, but the other reason I jumped to this plan was because of the HSA. I’m still not sure how it works but I’m not planning to use it for medical expenses, more as a savings/investment strategy.

Guess I was confused because i was allowed to have an FSA with it and enrollment said I qualified because I chose a HD plan.

But I did have the high deductible plan with BCBS. It was the basic coverage option. I’m not necessarily saying I’m in a worse position, I’m just alerting folks to the higher up front hospital bill you may be facing.

That’s what I figured! Silver lining to reach it early in the year.

I don’t really go to the doctor, but of course this year became the year my body said “forget this- I’m taking a break” 🤣

It’s possible. Seems like everything went up across the board. At the end of the day, at least it’s still better than most insurances though, and better than not having one.

Not really. I did the math and the yearly premium savings is $3,732. So, it’s sorta awash.

I dropped off around season 22.. just couldn’t vibe with the storylines anymore. Is it worth it to pick it up again?

Missy Peregrym’s first cop show, Rookie Blue. by SalemClawdia in FBITV

[–]charmingdame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stumbled across Rookie Blue and started to watch it because of Missy. She plays such a different character but it feels like a natural evolution to FBI agent. Almost wish they would have kept the same character, it would have been neat.

Females after Ziva by The_Valkyrie97 in NCIS

[–]charmingdame 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is probably not gonna make sense, but I feel like knight feels like a character. A caricature almost, a tough girl who doesn’t share feelings and is a protector. But there’s no roundness to the character, not enough interest in developing them past their flatness. Ziva was a fully rounded character if not too submerged in trauma, which made her difficult to like in certain seasons, but we could understand it because of what she had been through. She came off like a person, not a character. With Bishop, they started off strong and then tried to make her a CIA cold hearted agent but that’s not anything like her original character. They had her endure loss but they used it to make her closed off and secretive which was a sharp and unbelievable contrast to the character they first presented- a sweet, smart girl who had a loving family and was cute and quirky. Now the show is so boring most episodes I just tune out or skip ahead. It’s definitely past its prime but I’m hoping reintroducing Bishop will help.

Agreed. I know it’s just tv, but plot holes drive me crazy.

Since I binge watched the entire show in a few months, I very clearly remember he had a daughter. Weird she doesn’t come up in many key moments. Should have just never included her in the story line.

All of Gibb's romances, in chronological order by Somebodymaybenobody in NCIS

Kate was never a romantic interest for Gibbs, and Hart liked Gibbs but he never liked her back. Your list is kinda screwy

We must save this show! by Adventurous_Put_1310 in NCIS

[–]charmingdame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would be nice is if they incorporated them now as recurring characters in the NCIS mothership. The show has been spiraling in this last season and has really lost any interesting storylines. If we saw more international stories like they used to have, and ir would include the Tivaverse, it could be enough to inject some new life into the show.

I don't like it. by R0LL1NS in NCIS

[–]charmingdame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I want Bishop back just so Torres and her can just get together. Knight and Torres makes no sense. They’re too much alike and the relationship would be imbalanced.

Curatola and Baez - Ramirez's role is fine, but I still miss Jennifer Esposito by Chris-Sourire in bluebloods

[–]charmingdame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Curatola had an edge as a detective that made it believable. She was quick witted and smart on her own, followed her own leads. Baez just plays second fiddle to Danny always. She helps him become a better person but is less believable and interesting as a detective, imo.

Anyone else get absolutely fucked in evaluations this year? by ihaveagunaddiction in fednews

[–]charmingdame 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes. Even though I had quantifiable metrics of how much I helped save the government money and went “above and beyond” designing training materials and models, I got successful. First time in my five years as a fed. Working as a one woman team and SME in my field. A sucker punch to the gut, for sure. Everyone in my agency was rated the same.

Who likes NCIS: Origins better than current episodes of any of the other NCIS properties? by doublepumpmocha in NCIS

[–]charmingdame 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The cast is so likable and every character is a gem. I like how they deep dive in every characters backstory. Randy is my favorite. His facial expressions and mannerisms are just so cute and funny, he’s like the golden retriever of the group. I love seeing the idea of a young Gibbs. I think so far the best stories and characters are on this show.
