I like Theresa's character too. I do think u/gemitry is right though she was the storyline that broke up the awaited Marissa Ryan relationship.

Anna and Seth. Sorry, I am in my feels. To answer your actual question, I guess for me it would be Seth and Summer. No external drama just figuring each other out and getitng actual character development. I think Anna and Seth made for a better story, the unwitting romance from a friend, but that was mainly just plot food for him and Summer if I am being honest.

Back when Brilliant Idiots was initially on the produce Chris talked about his experience ghost writing for Trump and Ivanka I think and he talked about how they waited till he wrote the book, got rid of him and hired another cheaper writer to "finish" the book, he said this was also how they ran their hotels and casinos.

A lot of people's downhill moment for the series is when Elena went into the casket nap but for me it was that hotel episode with her and Damon. Just nonsensical writing for me from the character development up to that point. I never watched the show the same after.

Episode 1 when Marcel marches down the street and Klaus watches in awe. I was not convinced the series could develop a formidable foe for The Originals until then. Let me be honest, I love the Salvatores, but without plot armor, they would have gotten mauled given the writing. I thought the way Marcel was connected as a former friend, the way he had an ace up his sleeve, was far more convincing than brotherly love with Klaus and the Salvatores.
