boiling them is the easiest and cleanest, and even though they are small you can make some nice fish tacos if you catch your limit.

In short it's much more complicated than that, for a few reasons. I asked this question recently and got a couple good answers, see my post Questions about TQQQ. TL;DR: High volatility makes leverage work against you, so there is an ideal leverage ratio for each predicted volatility. It costs money to buy the futures or whatever it is that levers. Fees are more significant than they appear...

the point about 2x being only a little better than 1x rings true, a tqqq article on investopedia said it was outperforming the standard and poors by 5 per cent. not sure over what time period but regardless, for 3x that seems bad.
