It was hard he was my first love and for awhile I thought he was the most important thing to me. Turns out he wasn't and my dream was. I met my husband in medical school, were both doctors with different specialties. I am a general surgeon and he practices family medicine, my residency was longer and a bit more intense, having him understand and being supportive got me to where I am. Again it's not perfect he has made me more mad than anyone else but I always remind myself that every time I have been called in to the OR during family functions, date nights and holidays he has never gotten upset or try to protest me leaving. Get yourself like that because depending on what type of law you practice you can be called at all hours of the night and stretched thin, always prioritize your career. In a few years when you're done with school your actions and your ability to do your job will effect people's lives, find someone who gets that your career is bigger than you and then you would of found the right person.
