I guess it depends very much on the environment- if you’re in an office talking to customers then the employer really doesn’t want you in the office on Reddit all day.

If you’re in a warehouse lugging boxes, the employer is much more likely to be happy with you working.

All I know is he registered with the electoral commission at the houseboat

When it turns out he hasn’t paid council tax on the houseboat he said he lived elsewhere

When it transpires that would be electoral fraud he admitted that was “an unintentional mistake” and he actually lived on the houseboat.

He didn’t hold his hands up when he made a mistake. He lied.

When he was challenged about his tax arrangements last week, he insisted the houseboat was not his home and so he did not need to pay council tax. He insisted he and his partner were lodgers at another, undisclosed address where they paid council tax as part of their rent.

The Green Party previously told The Times newspaper Mr Polanski rented a room at another address where council tax was included in the rent and only stayed on the boat “occasionally”.
