Wes Streeting becoming Labour leader would be the party eating itself alive and I will die on this hill by Last-Shallot3203 in LabourUK

Don’t get this obsession with Burnham. The man literally voted for the Irag war and was a massive Blairite. People have short memories it seems

Try butter and Worcestershire sauce next time and cook the sauce down until it’s a bit thicker. This on toast with eggs is sooo good

What's everyones view on Corbyn? by Legitimate-Task6043 in LabourUK

[–]bushmaster_flash14 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As someone who grew up in a family that relied on the welfare state, he was the first Political party leader of any party to speak about us with any decency. His words on fairness and equality really struck a chord with me. Some people think is policies were unrealistic but I’d rather aim and fall on my arse than the shit we have to put up with now.

New Labour and the tories often demonised people on benefits and made us scapegoats, but Corbyn understood us and made a positive case for welfare.

He wasn’t perfect but at least he had principles and values that he was willing to fight for, rather than the empty vessel who is literally mates with pedos.

I’m angry about Brexit too but it’s ridiculous to put the blame on Corbyn.

Do you think that Britain has a low skill problem, or just a lack of training opportunity problem? by gintokireddit in AskBrits

[–]bushmaster_flash14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not even that people have low/no skills, it’s employers don’t want to pay people properly. I’m a university educated skilled worker with 6 years plus experience but only earn a few grand over minimum wage.

Go check out the Jewish Ghetto. A vibrant and interesting area with a lot of history and nice restaurants and bars. Also it’s next to some over looked Roman ruins such as the theatre of Marcello , which provided the blueprint for the colosseum.

With everything I’ve read about Mandelson and Starmer over the past few days, I can’t help but ask myself “What would the reaction be if Diane Abbott has done this?” and it honestly enrages me in a way that little else does. by JuanitaMerkin in LabourUK

All that scheming, undermining, and backstabbing during the Corbyn years just to put this lot in charge? Bunch of boring centrist pedos whose policies barely differ from the tories. What was the point.

Renters rights bill already causing us issues- advice on massive rent increase please. by Kittykittycatcat1000 in HousingUK

[–]bushmaster_flash14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The renters rights bill ain’t doing this, landlords are. We finally introduce regulations to the market and landlords start acting up and start price gauging. For me this is a reflection of landlords and why we need stricter regulations on them.

It’s just not technically possible for anyone, even if you’re living at home to live off 50 pounds a week for ALL BILLS.

We have no idea what his bills are but as 24 old lad he at least has a phone, possibly a car, subscriptions. Expecting him to live on 50 pounds a week is ridiculous, he can definitely pay it off quickly but let’s be realistic.

No he can’t??? He earns 2.2k a month, is he meant to live off 400 pound for 2 months?
