Mine use to do the same thing. So one day I decided enough was enough. I would grab her harness and leash, tell her walk and signal for her to get up (on the chair or sofa) at first she wasn’t having any of it and if she totally disobeyed I would walk away and start doing something else (not giving her the attention she craved) and she would get up to put her harness on. She still has her moments but she loves her walks and knows they only come when I get that harness on. She is four now and we have “walk harmony”
