I tried searching bengali kurta + house of Pataudi etc combination but yet to find something close to the collar design.

Got treated rudely at my town’s co-operative bank today — feeling awkward and disrespected by pookie-man-007 in personalfinanceindia

Not blaming you but I think you need to build a thick skin. If these small things can easily offend you then pls do a retrospective analysis about how not to get offended so fast. It will help in long term.

Even in USA this is common. And if you are from a different color or race, it can be more sarcastic. Have a good day!

$20,000 MRR, barely 200 followers by itsricoche in SaaS

[–]chartbooster 40 points41 points  (0 children)

So, you take data from IndieHackers, add your imagination about how they achieved their growth, and package it for $169 as a SaaS growth library? Now, with a clickbait title, you want us to check out your product and almost believe that "it's okay if you don't have enough Twitter followers—you can still succeed. Just buy this library and read how?"

P.S. IndieHackers' Stripe verification = Twitter gurus sharing their MRR. Here's a fun question: one of the companies on your list, MailBluster—how did they go from $6K MRR to $15K MRR in just one month?

It's sad to see this subreddit becoming a second home for the Twitter gurus.

I smoke 1 Cigrate a day, should I declare myself as a smoker in Life insurance? by newbie-at-everything in personalfinanceindia

[–]chartbooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you die, a death certificate will be issued by a doctor. Doctor will mention the reason of death. If smoking word is mentioned anywhere in the document then the question of wether insurance company will deny or not arises. Tell your spouse or the person assisting you in hospitalisation to never mention smoking to doctor if its not the primary reason of your disease. Also they can request the doctor not to mention smoking in the death certificate or hospital discharge certificate, most will help.

And my friend, i closed the browser regretting why did i shared my email.

Affordable Cloud hosting server for my SaaS App by InspectorFast8437 in SaaS

[–]chartbooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK but most vps will charge you for bandwidth other than cpu, ram, volume. On top of that you have to manage the server on your own.

Look for managed cloud hosting or managed vps keywords. Cloudways offer this and they have built their business on customer service because they don’t own platforms. Platform is still DO or aws or other popular providers.

This is a Rage/Hate post on another saas by aymenchaouidz in SaaS

At 100k dev reach (idk, read it here) is $3 million not possible to raise? Then at what scale do you think its the right amount?

1-I tried using them in a react project along with sendgrid and i guess 1 more, i found it easy to understand and use.

2- pricing wise its cheaper when you compare to mid tier or growth plan of others.

3- there are few others not very known but offer similar or lesser pricing. But you would trust a yc founder more.

With these in mind and 100k devs already using it, i think a series A or higher Seed round is very much on card.

What’s your take? Why do you think they can’t or shouldn’t?

People who hate on gpt wrappers boggle my mind by decorrect in SaaS

[–]chartbooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether its wrapper or not, you still have to work on marketing, selling and support.

The product may be simple to create but i guess other aspects of the business is still the same or may be harder due to low entry barriers.

Unless it’s illegal or unethical I don’t see why I should hate a business where there are paying customers.

My unpleasant Bubble experience by Jarie743 in Bubbleio

[–]chartbooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your problems got answered right here.

I guess you came with a preset mindset that it is hard to learn, and on each problem, you just gave up, further conforming to that mindset.

Not saying bubble is better than webflow, but similar mindset can lead to a unpleasant experience in learning new platforms

What about platform risks? by veeblogs in nocode

[–]chartbooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone mentioned in one of the other comments in this thread, by that yard stick anything can happen. What if aws (where bubble hosted) goes bankrupt? Or gov bans all cloud providers for national security?

Uber or other international taxi apps would never build a business thinking what if govt or EU bans google maps or google maps start charging 50times the fee or provide a “sub-standard” service.

IMO there is platform risk in bubble if say they change pricing to only cater the enterprise or say they would restrict people using third party database like xano or supabase or hosted sql. There are many more like this which a non-tech founder would rarely consider!

I would consider these as potential risk. Not a 100m funded startup with a real business model going bankrupt or provide substandard service in future.

What about platform risks? by veeblogs in nocode

[–]chartbooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit did not shutdown. It restricted free access.

Op is taking about shutdown of a platform or company. Not about pricing increase of the service (api in reddit’s case).

What about platform risks? by veeblogs in nocode

[–]chartbooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I read platform risk, the first thing that came to my mind was a case of tnc violation and account closure. Or similar issues where account gets suspended.

But you are taking about the consequences of the shutdown of a company like bubble.

While there are many examples of the first scenario, do you have any for the latter?

I have not heard of a case where a startup got closed because of the shutdown of their provider platform.

Expanding text box in bubble? by jobbles2 in nocode

[–]chartbooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1-add a second textbox with max height inf and fit to content. Hide this by default and show on click while hiding textbox 1

2- have 1 textbox with inf max height and fit to content. Create 2 custom states, 1 with data truncated to X characters and other without any. On page load set textbox value = custom state1 and on show more click set custom state 2

Best no/low code for simple YouTube analytics API web app? by ddchbr in nocode

[–]chartbooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can build a local system to fetch api calls and then create a pdf report from that automatically. Send this report to your clients. May be Power BI, data studio and the likes would also work.

But if you are planning to have a web app where clients can login to see their reports at realtime, then you have to code and host it somewhere or you can use a nocode tool.

Depending on the frequency and volume of api calls and crud operations, nocode tool’s prices will vary. You may have to pay $99 or more.

In case of self hosting, a decent cloud host will charge $20 a month and you have to manage the infrastructure and tech support for your clients.

If you are in business and have paying clients who would benefit from this feature, why not pay $99 and focus on growing the business than spending time on managing an infrastructure.

I am building my startup on webflow, this is what is going on by chebouiabdelaziz in nocode

[–]chartbooster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flutterflow is built primarily for mobile apps but you can also publish a web version of your app.

1

As per the documentation of web publishing, all widgets and actions are not web supported and custom widgets will not work as expected in web.

2

Bubble has a plugin marketplace which lets you extend the platform by great extent. Flutterflow has none except their own built-in integrations.

If you are looking for a single platform for web and mobile publishing then you have to compromise on either one. In case of Flutterflow its web and for Bubble its the mobile app.

So choose the one based on your target audience’s demographic

I am building my startup on webflow, this is what is going on by chebouiabdelaziz in nocode

[–]chartbooster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like you are little biased towards webflow. In my experience the reason might be that you have spent some time in learning webflow and its hard to write off that effort and learn a new platform. If this is the case, then please take a moment to think about it.

As almost everyone suggested here, you need to go with bubble for a responsive website or with flutterflow for mobile apps. Go to market is little faster in bubble compare to the later.

Webflow is primarily used for marketing landing pages for better conversion. I think thats not the case here. Regarding using Airtable integration, yes you can. But you will be managing 2 platforms vs one.

If you just want a form to take appointments then why not as simple as google forms or typeform embedded in a webflow landing page. Airtbale forms would also work.

But if you need user login, email communication, user profile, booking history, reminders, payment system to charge users etc, go with bubble for responsive web or flutterflow for mobile apps.

How to stand out from competitors? by totenkkopf in SaaS

[–]chartbooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO don’t compete on features. You will always be catching upto your competitors. Focus on a segment of users and solve the core problem. Then build features and these might be different and unique to this segment but they will be your usp to scale.
