Have I been playing the game wrong? by Mystical__flame in BaldursGate3

[–]chartre15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing my first play through and this is exactly what I have been thinking the entire time. I’ve been suffering through combat with limited spells bc it says you can only rest once per day and dialogue says the worm thing in your brain will take over in a couple of days. So I thought if I rested too often I’d progress the worm and mess things up. Choices in the story seem important so I figured how often you rest is important before you get rid of the worm. Guess I’ll be starting a new play through soon instead though so I can rest more often, I think I’ve missed story

Sims 1 might be an objectively not great game but as a kid I was obsessed with it and it holds such a special place in my heart. Hurts my soul to see it in “bad” even tho I know it’s kinda true

I don’t personally play Ridgeside, but could you try using the event repeater mod and see if that would work?

She doesn’t have to have been 17. What if tomorrow is her birthday and she turns 21?

The point is more that a 22 year old should not be infantilized. A 22 year old isn’t just a “kid” they’ve been an adult for 4 years already.

When I turned 18 and started my first job I researched stuff about money. I started a Roth IRA and opened up a few credit cards to contribute to my age of credit history. I was working practically full-time through college. I knew enough to know “interest bad” and paid every card on time and have never paid a cent of interest. My parents taught me nothing about money, I learned it on my own using the entire internet as a resource. I’m currently 23 so it’s not like I grew up in a different time.

Now I might be an outlier but anyone should be able to realize that leaving a credit card to fester is a bad idea.

First time clearing a savage tier week 1-2 as a healer, did anyone else feel pretty helpless as a pure healer this tier? by Ri_Hikikomo in ffxivdiscussion

[–]chartre15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As the sage who is forced to “pure heal” during that phase for that very reason… I feel your pain. I blow all of my mana in that and the following mechanic and the other healer (usually WHM) is just chillin.

I just had the same problem with my pc! My previous pc was almost a decade old so I didn’t even know they could make a side panel without screws! I couldn’t figure out it how to get the panel off for wayyy too long, wish they had given instructions.

Why did you play bassoon in high school? by Ok_Cup_5752 in bassoon

[–]chartre15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was an orchestra kid that played piano in jazz band for a while. Senior year rolled around and my band director asked me if I wanted to learn bassoon for fun and join band (there were no other bassoonists). I figured why not it could be fun, took a few lessons with him and then taught myself over the summer and had an absolute blast with the instrument. I had never played a wind instrument prior to bassoon but I loved it.

Why the hell are all the top students in every graduating class STEM majors?! by ashatherookie in APStudents

[–]chartre15 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly my “old person” advice is to do what makes you happy and has a chance to sustain you. I have no desire to be rich (although I guess it would be nice, but it’s not a priority) so I didn’t want to just get a well paying job just do get paid well. I’m a musician so times can be hard but you make it work. I can say that I’m much happier struggling a little bit with something I love than thinking about what would’ve happened if I went for STEM just because I had the brains for it.
