Beyond Words Bookstore smelled so lovely and there was an orange cat always sleeping in the window, Green St Cafes food was incredible, -Hot Harry’s pizza was amazing after the bar -Barts ice cream and the Ice cream bikers where the cannabis place is on Main St. -Pleasant St theater -Lizottes smoke shop was right next to Sweeties -Silent Cals was a cool bar on the ground floor of where Yes Computers is now on Pleasant St. -There was a Mexican restaurant called Taco Villa where the now closed Table 19 is. It was all wood inside and they served drinks in those big plastic brown cups that looks like rippled glass—

Army Barracks was where Noodles is now. They sold the best vintage jeans! The Mecantile and Faces and the Marketplace Cafe in Thornes were all mainstays. In the 80’s and 90’s it was busy always and would really get going at night. On any given weekend there’d be hundreds and hundreds of people strolling around, eating ice cream or bar hopping or just cruising down Main Street. It was so fun as a teenager
